About me
My Art Journey
For as long as I can remember, creating art has been part of who I am. Yet for many years, I never thought of myself as an "artist." Art was simply something I loved to do—something that naturally found its way into every stage of my life.
I began college as an art major, creating illustrations for the college newspaper and our weekly campus church newsletter. Although my educational path eventually changed, my love of art never did. I became an elementary school teacher, where creativity became an essential part of my classroom through hands-on activities, visual displays, and projects that helped bring learning to life.
When I began homeschooling my own children, art became an even bigger part of our daily lives. Drawing, painting, writing, and storytelling were woven into our learning together. Later, I worked with their charter school, designing flyers, posters, large-scale backdrops, and themed decorations for school-wide events. Looking back, I realize that art was never something I set aside—it simply found different ways to be expressed while serving others.
Over the years, I've explored many forms of artistic expression, but watercolor has become one of my favorite ways to capture the beauty of everyday life. After decades of learning, experimenting, and growing as a self-taught artist, I now have the opportunity to create simply for the joy of creating.
Today, that lifelong passion has become Breyha Art, where I share original watercolor paintings and drawings, along with ACEOs, prints, bookmarks, stickers, and other small works designed to bring a little beauty into everyday life.
My work is inspired by quiet moments, vibrant color, nature, and the simple joys that often go unnoticed. Whether it's a tiny collectible ACEO or a larger original painting, I hope each piece brings a smile, stirs a memory, or offers a moment of peace.
I believe creativity is a lifelong journey, and that it's never too late to share what you love with the world. Every painting reflects years of curiosity, perseverance, and quiet growth. Thank you for visiting Breyha Art and for allowing me to share this next chapter of my artistic journey with you.
